Looking for a Pollinator? Think you have a Swarm?

No one understands the value of the 2.9 million colonies of honeybees that pollinate our crops. Honeybees are worth $14 billion to our agricultural economy.

The honeybee is the single most important insect that has a positive impact on man.

That impact is not just spoonfuls of honey and old-fashioned candles. It's not just in the beeswax facial you may get at the spa. It's every California Almond, Louisiana Watermelon, Florida Grapefruit, Maine Blueberry, and Washington State Pear you've ever bitten into. It's every apple orchard or pumpkin patch you have ever frolicked in.

Bees pollinate virtually every commercial and homegrown crop in the land.

Is there any animal, mammal, reptile, amphibian, or whatever that has more of an impact on our daily lives?

Well, there are the cows - we depend upon their milk, meat and hide. But, the cows we raise eat hay, and hay comes from alfalfa seed and, well guess who pollinates the alfalfa?
